Huntington Beach is home to one of the richest Jiu Jitsu communities in Southern California. The origins of the craze in Surf City are due in part to famous mixed martial artists Tito Ortiz and "Razor" Rob McCullough, who attended Huntington Beach High School together, where Tito's name is listed on the wrestling room walls as a league champion. During the 2000's, Tito was a UFC champion and one of the organization's first marquee fighters. Later in the decade, Razor Rob held the WEC lightweight belt when the organization boasted the #2 155lb division in the world.
