Orange County Jiu-Jitsu shines at another Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu tournament

OCJJ had another great showing at yet another Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) tournament recently at the 2011 Best of the West tournament in Long Beach, California. Our competition team sent six competitors and took home an impressive five medals. Even more impressive, our team’s female competitor, April Frost took home a bronze medal in her first tournament, after only two months of training BJJ.
Best of the West is one of the more historic no-gi tournaments in Orange County and Los Angeles area. Competitors from our school used this competition as a warm-up for the no-gi competition season as bigger events such as the no-gi Mundials approach in fall.
